The Cherry Family Office was founded by Michael A. Cherry, CFA after a 27 year career as a high yield/distressed/leveraged finance analyst, salesman, and relationship manager at many of the leading investment banks in the USA. These investment banks included Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Bear Stearns, JPMorgan, CRT, and Jeffries. Mr Cherry’s relationships with many of the largest asset managers, insurance companies, hedge funds, and private equity managers generated over $10 billion in annual transaction volume and represented over $150 billion in AUM in the high yield/distressed asset class. These relationships included Blackrock, Columbia, Putnam, Cohanzick, John Paulson, Carl Icahn, and many others.

In 2011, Mr. Cherry partnered with Michael Goldburg to form MCMG Management, a real estate investment and property management company based in South Florida. In 2015, Mr. Cherry retired from the leveraged finance industry to focus his attention on MCMG, The Cherry Family Office, and its affiliates businesses. Mr. Cherry enjoys skiing, playing guitar, golfing, and watersports.
